Born and raised in Boston, MA, Maura received her Master's in Special Education and has worked extensively with students with learning differences.
As a Wilson Certified Dyslexia Practitioner, an Orton-Gillinham-based program, Maura is highly regarded for her expertise in literacy education. She is passionate about supporting struggling readers and assisting educators looking to enhance their pedagogy. Maura offers professional development to schools on the latest Science-of-Reading research, training on universal assessments to identify students in need of intervention, and assists educators in analyzing data to improve instructional practices.
In her San Diego private practice, Maura tailors her approach to meet each client's unique needs, empowering them to succeed in their educational journey. She also provides parent consultation and serves as an IEP advocate.
